A CLOSER LOOK
I am passionate about creating a social impact and enterprise through my involvement in community arts and social entrepreneurship. I am pursuing mastery as a coach, performer, and host. Presenting on themes surrounding Hip Hop, Mental Health, Equity, Youth/ Community Engagement and Spirit.
During my final year of university, I became very interested in community outreach and development. I began to participate and help various camps, retreats and programs focused on art, mental wellness, and leadership. In this short time, I learned so much about who I am and how I can impact others in a positive way.
I went from being heavily involved in community-based activity to performing, hosting and speaking at seminars and facilitating programs. It didn’t take long to realize that this is where I was comfortable. I felt confident, and most importantly, I was able to see that I was having a positive impact on those around me. I knew then that this was my passion...my vocation. I have since had the honour of supporting various events and workshops that work to empower grassroots movements including Spoke N’ Heard, The New Mentality, AVNU, Youth Social Infrastructure (YSI) Collaborative and Grassroots Youth Collaborative (GYC).
